Mariza Ryce Aparicio-Tovar, known as Mari in the Sky, is an artist and illustrator from Alaska. Her art is inspired by nature and the heritage of the ancient natives of her land, but also by her personal story and her indigenous spirituality. For Mari in the Sky, there is nothing more connected than human wellbeing and the ecosystem: caring for one has a positive effect on the other. Working outdoors, counting salmon in the reserves of Alaska, she had the chance to fully live her relationship with the landscape and find the inspiration she needed to create this deck.

Mari in the Sky donates 5% of the profits from this book to conservation and environmental initiatives.
