Paint, watercolour, but also mortar and pestle to produce colour from natural pigments found in the rocks of New Mexico: Celine Gordon's talent lies not just in finding the right illustration, but in delivering it through the right medium. In short, a deck that does not merely depict nature, but carries its very substance within... literally.

Meet Celine Gordon, artist and illustrator from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who has made the connection with the land the heart of her creative practice. Celine collects rocks and minerals, grinds pigments, mixes inks... As if she were turning the very landscape of the American Southwest into living matter from which her work is born. Through her independent studio Off Grid Studio she carries forward an artistic vision that is also a way of life, far from the mainstream and close to nature, sustainability and the most authentic craftsmanship.
