Alexa Villanueva

The story of The Future Ancestor Tarot is bound up with the biography of its creator Alexa Villanueva, in a journey that begins in mourning and ends in renewal and gratitude. When she lost both of her grandparents in 2020, the Filipino-American illustrator took refuge in art, instinctively drawing what would become the “Death” card of her first tarot. Gradually the entire deck took shape, a deep invitation to connect with the Here and Now and an occasion to think about what we have been, what we are and what we want to be. Through her work, Alexa, magic expert and artist, explores her identity with the support of Mother Nature's cycles.
