This tarot deck, created by German-born Jacob Jerger in Besançon, France between 1820 and 1845, is a restoration of the original, which was produced using carved woodblocks and stencils. Derived from the Tarot de Marseille, the Tarot de Besançon replaces the Popess and Pope with the Roman gods Juno and Jupiter. This complete 78-card deck includes an informational and a promotional card, with the deck in French and the extra cards in English. The first edition is limited to 1,000 individually numbered decks.
- 78 cards (7 cm x 10 cm) printed on 310 g/m² card stock.
- Long lasting linen finish for easy shuffling.
- Sturdy, elegant box with the card back design printed on the outside.
