SONG OF THE GRANDMOTHERS

They advise us in difficult moments, they give us support when no one else will listen to us, they help us remember... Grandmothers are the most sincere face of unconditional love. The writer Kara Simons realized that this same energy can be found in the nature that surrounds us and, from there, the idea for Song of the Grandmothers was born. Created in collaboration with Mari in the Sky (author of the popular The Gentle Tarot deck), this oracle puts us in dialogue with natural elements, animals, trees and plants, which speak to us of harmony or destruction, perseverance or acceptance, accompanying us on our personal journey with vibrant images and words written on each card. We are all grandchildren of our planet.

Kara Simons lives in Iowa with her husband and two daughters. She is an attorney, meditation coach, writer or, as she defines herself, "word hunter". Kara's poetic work invites us to trust our ability (and authority) to interpret the messages that come to us from nature, so that we never forget where we come from and where we belong. For her part, Mariza Ryce Aparicio-Tovar, artist name Mari in the Sky, is an Alaskan artist and illustrator. Her art is inspired by nature and the heritage of the ancient natives of her land, but also by her personal history and "indigenous spirituality".
