The Carnival at the End of the World: nothing more is needed to describe this deck than its own title, irreverent, joyful and desperate, both catastrophic and theatrical.
A reinterpretation that places masks, figures, and human and non-human beings at its centre, in search of the meaning of celebration and of connection with the elements. A major work by Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick, a tarot deck to be contemplated for hours.
A great artistic duo with great stories: Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick, both born in 1964, work with photography, installations, fictional anthropology and deliberately absurd historical reconstructions, always with a strong documentary style.
Their narrative knows no boundaries and unfolds across many different media. They have taken part in over 100 exhibitions worldwide, and their works are included in more than 30 museum collections, including the MFA Boston, the Brooklyn Museum, LACMA and the Smithsonian Institution.
The guidebook Madam Lulu’s Book of Fate is sold separately. If you wish to purchase it together with the deck, you can do so at a special price here.
Cards in English.
